Holotropic Breathwork® Facilitator
My professional journey began conventionally, with training in medicine followed by specialization in mental health, focusing on children and families as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for 35 years.
Alongside this, I moved into the world of psychotherapy, primarily utilizing Gestalt psychotherapy. I worked a portfolio career as psychiatrist and psychotherapist in both public and private provision.
Since 2016, my life and work has been informed by Holotropic Breathworkô. I've dedicated myself to this transformative practice, undergoing rigorous training in the UK, USA, and Europe. In 2023, after seven years of study, I achieved certification as a Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator through the Grof Transpersonal Training. I have also completed the ICEERS psychedelic integration training.
Teaming up with Sally, my mission is to bring the profound benefits of holotropic breathwork to the UK. We're excited to offer workshops set amidst the tranquil beauty of the New Forest in southern England, inviting others to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and healing.

For many years I had a successful profession in film & television production. As time went on, I felt a strong inclination to connect with people on a deeper level. This led me to transition into working at a Psychiatric Hospital and pursuing training as a psychotherapist.
In 2016, in search of professional development opportunities, my colleague Neil and I attended a conference in London. It was there that we had the privilege of meeting Dr. Tim Read, who introduced us to the transformative practice of Holotropic Breathwork. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try and were profoundly impacted by its life-changing effects.
Our enthusiasm for Holotropic Breathwork® grew exponentially, prompting us to pursue formal training. In March 2023, I successfully completed the Grof Transpersonal Training, (GTT), becoming a certified Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator.
With the founders of HolotropicUK, Holly and Deb, deciding to step back, we enthusiastically took over the reins in 2022.
I feel strongly committed to being able to provide Holotropic Breathwork to others. The inner healing wisdom which is accessed, together with focussed bodywork, is unique to this practice. I have witnessed both personally and in others the wonderful and life-changing benefits of this.
Based in the New Forest, I am so appreciative to be able to continue offering Holotropic Breathwork experiences in the United Kingdom, from our home.
Whether you're already on your journey or looking to embark on a new one, we invite you to join us and explore the transformative power of Holotropic Breathwork®.

I became interested in the psychedelic renaissance in 2016 and first experienced Holotropic Breathwork, which informs psychedelic research, in 2018. It was an unexpectedly powerful experience for me of the profound connection between breath, the unconscious mind and personal transformation.
As I embraced Holotropic Breathwork as a regular practice, it became a catalyst for deepening self-awareness, psychological integration, and an overall sense of well-being. This prompted me to rethink many areas of my life, including my career direction. I particularly valued the safe and supportive space that facilitators are able to create and decided to start the training. I trained in the UK, India, Europe, and the USA, completing the Grof Transpersonal Training and certifying to become a Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator in March 2023.
I hold an MA in Jungian Psychology, and I’m an Associate member of The Institute of Psychedelic Therapy.
